The Silence
on February 21st, 2012 at 8:15 pmThere is a silence
Quieter than the belly of a cave.
Where not even an echo
Can make you
Feel like two
And throw your voice back at you
A silence that a thousand voices cannot penetrate
A darkness blacker than the shores of Stygian
A loneliness that
crowds can’t stave
Like a black hole in space
A lonely dark forbidden place
The soul goes to hide
Closing itself up
Wrapping its arms around itself
Locking emotions away
Hiding from the light of day
And the truth
Life locked away is not living
But it’s also not dying
Dreams abandoned are never found
Tears are shed only by the living
We cry for ourselves when all is gone
That once we felt had no end
No stopping
and then like fall
And dropping leaves
The world comes to and end
And we fall tumbling out of control
Spinning aimlessly
Through some kind of space and time continuum
Dizzily grasping for any hold
To keep from falling
Deeper into a dark forgotten hole
When life continues
Without escape and without hope
Once you’re trapped inside this place
Inside the mind of lost dreams
You’ll know what living really means.
So today I took a leap off the edge of reality held my breath an trusted my cape. And decide to try a little something different, actually it was spontaneous combustion, recording light was on and I just kept on going, couldn’t stop. And when I did stop, I decide to thrust my aching soul on your merciful selves. . So I mixed Jack D with bourbon, scotch peyote, and a bit of Louisiana voodoo woman ( that is a joke) and other unknown results and decided that if you want to hear a little piece of me behind and into the scenes, or this poem at all and me reading it, when the player gets to it. you’ll just have to push play cause’ I’m tired of typing. Besides I’m so curious about possibilities , I just cant wait for responses.
